Meeting highlights included:
Michigan Medicine CIO Andrew Rosenberg, M.D., shared a number of project and administrative updates. He also focused on the importance of providing outstanding service – and how it is a cornerstone for our current and future success. Dr. Rosenberg emphasized how we should strive to ensure that all of our customer experiences are simple, correct, and direct, and delivered with empathy, efficiency, and pride.
Senior Manager for Performance and Improvement Management Erik Zempel highlighted progress on the ServiceNow project, and explained how developing a robust “service catalog” will play a central role in the success of this ongoing effort.
Senior Project Manager Liz Lind provided an update on Unity 2.0 – describing progress to date, including which individual initiatives are now complete, which are nearing completion, and which will transition to operations on or after June 30.
Organizational and People Capability Lead Cindy Priddy spoke about the importance of the U-M Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiative and the benefits of having HITS team members participate in that effort. Cindy also talked about current and future opportunities for professional growth and development, focusing on the three major competencies that have been identified by HITS Leadership as central to the success of our organization
- Providng the Ideal Customer Service
- Collaborating and Building Inclusive Relationships
- Achieving Results
Each All-Staff Meeting session also included a panel discussion – led by Michigan Medicine Associate CIO Ted Hanss – which featured distinguished Michigan Medicine leaders discussing the many ways in which support from HITS teams and individuals plays a positive, instrumental role in improving (and sometimes even making possible) critical work within each of our core missions – Patient Care, Research, and Medical Education.
Afterward, HITS team members participated in a group activity during which they worked together to identify the major ideas and key themes they heard our panelists share. A "word-cloud" summary of this reflection is available for review.
