An article in the April 5 edition of Michigan Medicine Headlines highlights our recent HITS Service Desk staffing “surge.” The article touches on how formal and informal feedback from customers and partners informed our effort to add staff, modify shifts, and increase staffing levels to enable us to deliver better, faster service. The article also explains how we are continuing to solicit feedback via our ongoing Pulse survey that will help to shape future improvements.
A key part of our HITS Vision focuses on "Personal Growth and Opportunity." To that end, we are offering a new Professional Development Series designed to help our team members become more effective in their work and careers. This series is open to directors, managers, and staff.
Once again, thanks to everyone who participated in our Winter 2017 HITS All-Staff Meeting. All together, more than 300 people attended in-person during one of our two sessions at the Arbor Lakes Dome, and another 300 joined remotely, via BlueJeans.
On Monday, February 27, HITS will be holding our Winter 2017 All-Staff Meeting. All HITS and IA team members are encouraged to participate, but in-person attendance is not required. We are hosting two in-person opportunities (a.m. and p.m.), at the Arbor Lakes "Dome," and will also provide a live BlueJeans connection, and a recording of the event for later viewing. More ...
Unity 2.0 Advisory Committee members have requested that project leaders share more information with HITS staff regarding a variety of topics. We are now compiling and posting information and associated links to resources on the “2.0” section of the Unity website.
On Monday, February 27, you’re invited to gather with your colleagues for our Winter 2017 HITS All-Staff Meeting.
We are pleased to announce that 17 HITS colleagues have agreed to serve on the new Unity 2.0 Advisory Committee. Together, they represent all of our divisions, and bring a wide variety of experiences and perspectives to the group.
Per the Committee's suggestion, we are providing answers to some of their initial questions, and access to additional resources related to Unity 2.0 and other activities.

On January 9, Health Information Technology & Services (HITS) will open a new Help Me Now (HMN) walk-up support center in the Towsley Center for Continuing Medical Education, located in Room G2413 (near the lobby just inside the building entrance).
